Tours of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Garscube Campus are available at August Open Day. 

Please read the information below carefully before booking.

What will the tours involve?

The tour will last approximately three hours (without a tour of Wolfson Student Accommodation) / four hours (with a tour of Wolfson Student Accommodation) and will include:

  • Bus transfers to and from the Main Campus to the Garscube Campus
  • Veterinary Medicine Talk (45 minutes)
  • Tour of the Veterinary Medicine Campus and Facilities (45 minutes)
  • Optional Tour of our catered Wolfson Student Accommodation 

When are the tours?

There will be two tours running on 30 August 2017

  • Tour one departs campus at 09.45am
  • Tour two departs campus at 12.15pm

Tours will last approximately three hours (without the optional Wolfson Hall tour) / four hours (with the optional Wolfson Hall Tour) including transfer times. Please consider the start and finish times of these tours when booking any transport to Glasgow. 

Please only book tickets for one tour and be careful to select the correct time when booking.


Who are the tours for?

Tours are aimed at prospective students who are considering studying Veterinary Medicine. Spaces are very limited and so we kindly ask that only students who are considering applying to study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow register. 

The talk/tour will not contain Veterinary Biosciences course information. Students wishing to study Veterinary Biosciences should attend the Vet Biosciences talk on our Main Campus at 10:45am - 11:15am, Western Infirmary Lecture Theatre (B9 on the campus map).

Please note a maximum of two tickets per student are permitted (one student and one family member/guardian) in order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to go to Garscube.

For those who cannot attend the Veterinary Medicine Tour there will be a Veterinary Medicine talk hosted on the Main Campus, 1 - 1.30pm, Western Infirmary Lecture Theatre (B9).


How can I book tour tickets?

You must book tickets in advance for the tour. Spaces are limited so we suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Please note a maximum of two tickets per student are permitted (one student and one family member/guardian) in order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to go to Garscube.


Cancelling your tickets

Should you no longer require your ticket(s) at any stage please get in touch to let us know by e-mailing opendays@glasgow.ac.uk. If you cannot attend your ticket will be valuable to other students who wish to participate.
