How to print, scan or copy in the Library and Round Reading Room

There are printers on levels 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 of the Library, and two printers in the Reading Room. Each of these floors has a colour printer, and most floors also have additional colour and mono-only printers. All PCs in the Library print to the "PULLPRINT" queue. Jobs sent to this queue can be collected at any printer in the Library and Reading Room.

You can print, scan and copy documents using these printers.

Before sending a document to print, check MyPrinting to make sure you have enough credit

Scanning and copying

Black and white printing

  1. Print your document(s) to the PULLPRINT queue
  2. Go to ANY printer on ANY floor
  3. Swipe your campus card over the "Pull Print" sticker
  4. Press "Pull Print" then "Print All", or select jobs one at a time and press "Print"

PLEASE NOTE: If your document contains a mix of colour and black and white pages and you collect it from a colour printer, ALL pages will be charged as colour. To avoid this, print colour pages separately from black and white pages. (A system upgrade is expected that will remove the need to do this.) If in doubt, use a mono printer - these are identified by a mono “Pull Print” sticker

Printing tips

  • Check the cost of your job (displayed on the screen) before you print your document
  • If the printer's display screen is off, press the grey power button to turn it on
  • If a printer is not working, use a different printer to collect your job
  • If you want to print double-sided, or have the printer staple your document, set these options in the Finishing tab when you send your document to print
