Security, Intelligence & Strategic Studies (Erasmus Mundus International Master) scholarship


Prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for well qualified applicants to the International Master in Security, Intelligence & Strategic Studies. The University of Glasgow is the leading partner in the consortium of universities that have developed this joint Masters programme. Other degree awarding partners include Charles University Prague (Czech Republic) and Dublin City University (Ireland). 


Eligible programmes: Security, Intelligence & Strategic Studies (Erasmus Mundus International Master)

Applicants must hold an offer of a place for the programme (unconditional or conditional) for September 2018 entry.

scholarship includes

  • a contribution to the student participation costs (including tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to the students' participation in the programme)
  • a contribution to student travel and installation costs
  • a monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the programme

Duration: 2 years

How to apply

  • Secure an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place on the programme.
  • Submit the appropriate scholarship application form (available on the consortium website) with your online programme application.

Deadline: 26 January 2018

Assessment: The selection committee assesses each application according to the following criteria:

  • Academic merit - 20%
  • Relevance of academic qualifications to programme – 20%
  • Supporting personal statement - 30%
  • Quality of (academic) references - 10%Other (e.g. relevant research/professional experiences/interests) - 20%
  • Other (e.g. relevant research/professional experiences/interests) - 20%

Following the closing date, the consortium selection committee will select candidates, who will be notified of outcome of their application at the end of March 2018.
